Yet another WordPress version was released today and its highly recommended that everybody who has “open membership” on his blog should upgrade.

I guess “open membership” means the enabled setting “Anybody can register” which is exactly what you can do here on mxm-studios.com – though there is no need to register because all content is visible to everybody and all comment functions are activated by standard…

Anyway, i just upgraded to WordPress 2.6.2 which was easy like always and a task of about 1 or 2 minutes – thanks to the brillant plugin “Automatic Upgrade” by the honored Keith Dsouza. I think his plugin is the best WordPress-Plugin of all. So bless this guy and let him have sex with the most beautiful topmodels!

If you’re running your own WordPress-Installation (you don’t need to worry if you’re having a free blog on wordpress.com) and always get scared about upgrading, just install Keith’s Plugin and enjoy your day ;)

Thanks to the WordPress Developers and all the other freaks who made this fine piece of Blog-Software came true.

Finally the new and fancy MXM WordPress Theme “MXM08″ is live!

I hope you like the new layout, i’ve designed it all by myself and from scratch ;)

It’s a little bit lighter (and hopefully faster) than before although it contains more basic information on the frontpage that may help new visitors to make the first steps.

There’s more space for the content now and i slightly changed the layout of the single posts, pages and search results…

During the next couple of days i will change this and that to make sure the site works well and everything is as it should be. Do not wonder if things seem to move… it’s just me fooling around in the backend.

I found a new title as well: Reality is for slowpokes! Because this blog is mainly about virtual stuff and fancy ideas. It’s cool, eh?

If you are running a WordPress Installation on your server you probably see a friendly “Please upgrade now” message in your admin-panel.

I recommend to ignore this message. Since 3 days the new WordPress 2.5 is released and sadly shows up as a “little bit over the target” – to speak kindly.

I’ve tested the new version but also made the mistake to install it on a live website already. Let me tell you why i start hating WordPress 2.5…

Today is Halloween! So i need to do something scary… something really scary! I’m already shivering because i’m going to upgrade this blog! I’ve tested the procedure on a second installation and it worked fine, so i don’t expect serious problems. But never say never…

During the next two hours the mxm-blog will not work properly, due to the upgrading process. Thanks for your patience (and send your prayers to the database demons).
