With only a browser it is possible to delete the Admin’s password and let him stand outside his own site, due to a vulnerability in WordPress’ up-to-date version 2.8.3.

When you’re unable to login to your own site, it can get kind of stressful. Hey, it just happened to me today, isn’t that a remarkable coincidence?

Luckily i already read about the problem, so if you can’t login to your WordPress 2.8.3 admin area, don’t worry too much:

1. The hacker cannot get into the admin area by using this particular vulnerability
2. The WordPress Devs already resolved the problem (i hope so)

Today i was surprised to see that there is a new version of the world’s greatest blog-software WordPress. I didn’t follow the WordPress-News recently, so my first thought was “Oh no, a new WP means work! I have to upgrade all my sites…”

But with the integrated “Upgrade automatically”-Function upgrading can be done with only one mouse-click. Perfect for lazy folks like me.

So i have “Baker” powering my blog and i’m thrilled about its new features once again…

Look! There is an elf!

That’s the name of mxm-studios.com’s new face, the new wordpress theme that’ll visualize the “thoughts and creations of a naughty machinima artist” from now on. Hah, even a new headline, i really did some spring-cleaning!

A little bit about the theme. I created the theme from scratch, “Look! There is an elf!” is heavily customized. I really do not have any fun with other people’s ready-to-go themes.

I also didn’t create the theme for the public WordPress Theme-Library, i’m pretty sure that it doesn’t meet the official WP-Specifications. I’ve tested the theme excessively in the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer. It works well in all of these browsers and that’s enough for me. Also, i believe that the mainstream of my visitors are experienced surfers who can stand a “_blank”-Tag.

But i want to make clear that i don’t support IE6 anymore. No matter what all the SEO-Marketing-Affiliate-Access-Usability-Super-Experts tell. If the site works on IE6, fine. If not, i don’t care.
