YouTube disables sound in fan videos!

MaXsiM on 15. January 2009 | 1 Comment Trolls and Spammers stay out.

Sorry to disturb your peace today but i just want to let you know about YouTube’s latest strike against its own people.

So let us answer some simple questions first, just to make sure:

1. Why is YouTube that big? It’s because of us, the YouTube visitors and movie makers.

2. Who has pushed YouTube straight to the top of all video sites? We did it.

3. Who has taught the music industry how to promote their artists and albums better? The machinima and remix directors did it.

But now the remix and fanart culture is in danger!

YouTube disabled the sound of thousands of videos because the “audio track has not been authorized by all copyright holders”. What a b***!

We, the YouTube community,  reach out our hands but YouTube don’t care. YouTube bites the hand that feeds – again!

YouTube once again proofs that they will continue their censorship practices. They don’t come over with some cool ideas that could help to finally find a way out of the copyright misery.

No, YouTube just pushes the off button. I don’t know what we can do against that. But it will be interesting to see how the community will react.
