It’s always the same. The last week before a release is stressy! Every creator knows that. You can have a well organized schedule and think you are perfectly in time, but anyway, during the last days all the nice plans are ending in chaos…

I don’t know why but time seems to run faster and work seems to be never ending. Suddenly all the small pieces of this and that appear on the surface and muck around. In such moments it helps a lot to stay cool, because that’s the only way to get out of the chaos.

I have a closer look at all those points, then start with the first one and make my way further through the rest. Step by step. In my case i start with the first image, see what is missing, deal with it, go to the second pic, and so on until the whole series is finished. In this phase i avoid to skip single parts because this would directly lead into the next chaos.

With such a strict procedure it’s much easier to stay in the timetable and see the light on the horizon.

But once when you’re in a good work flow again, it happens very often – some call it “Murphy’s Law” – that an unexpected serie of problems appear out of clear air: You’re getting your monthly migraine, you receive loads of database failures, a business partner sends a bad mail, other projects suddenly need your attention; not to mention private life stuff like the forgotten birthday of Auntie Maggie or other surprises.

Then the release date is in serious danger! As a creator, producer, publisher it’s always the worst thing to reschedule a release. On the other hand you can’t split yourself into two pieces. When Murphy’s Law hits you, you have no choice. You need to get more time from somewhere which makes you able to resolve problems and release a satisfying project – just a little later.

In this week i have experienced some of those problems. Nothing really existential but important enough to care about. I tried to stay cool, the project was pretty much in time, i could see the horizon, and then Murphy knocked at my door :)

Now the release date of “Episode 7″ is in danger. I actually try to keep the 9th of November, but it seems that i need more time. I just forgot how large this one is! “Kinky Ways Of Truth” is the longest Episode so far and contains very important key scenes. I’ve also added a new scene and made second shootings of other scenes. I will give you more information about it later…

I’m still trying to make it, but please don’t be disappointed if i postbone “Episode 7″ a few days. On Thursday evening i will be able to be more concrete. Thanks for reading ;)
