I don’t want to blame the people at ThriXXX, which is a very small company, working secretly somewhere in the beautiful mountains of  Tyrol, wearing dark sun glasses and acting like assassins. That’s okay.

I respect them very much for being able to create such a great piece of software like SexVilla 2.

But they are not able to follow the simplest rules about public relation and marketing. In fact, they have no idea what to with all that social media shit and how to keep a game community healthy and warm.

They just lifted up prices for SexVilla and didn’t say anything about that. Some user had to find out about it, thinking it was a bug or something like that. Even worse, ThriXXX ignores the rage, hides somewhere behind Austrian rocks. Unfortunately i must say, that’s their usual behavior when it comes to uncomfortable discussions. Of course, most of those angry discussions come from ThriXXX’s unhealthy PR. It’s a doom loop.

ThriXXX, that “Sex sells” slogan is from the last millennium. And waiting until people get over it is just lame and ignorant. Bad style.

The price increase is an economical fail anyway.

Considering your product doesn’t generate enough income anymore, the worst thing you can do is to lift up prices and think it’s fine. You may notice a higher conversion in a short term. But in a long term you will most likely fail.

Especially when your product i out-of-date! Well, since SexVilla 3 has been announced, the current SV2 is an end-of-season sale. In fact, SexVilla 2 is still a nice thing i recommend to buy, but it also is pretty much outdated and aged. Like an old car.

The normal way is to lower the prices to make that old product look interesting again. This will shovel in a bunch of new users – people who could easily become long term customers.

I want to be fair. There is a small chance that the number of players recently increased somehow and ThriXXX only follows the law of supply and demand. But, you know… ThriXXX is a monopolist, the market-leader, no true competitor in sight – and monopolists tend to oversell their stuff.

How to turn on your customers!

If you run a website, imagine your visitor count suddenly starts to drop. What would you do? You don’t want to restrict some content, write less or make the site’s layout uglier, do you?

No, you want to make your website more attractive and think over your promotional strategies.

Speaking of SexVilla, ThriXXX could have done:

1. Think over the way they promote the game. Things are going wrong here.
2. Bring in new players. Lower prices for a short period, promote that.
3. Never shock existing players. They are your capital.
4. Realize that prices were too high already. SV2 is the most expensive game.
5. Give-Aways, Starter Packs, new banners, website relaunch… there are many possibilities.

All to bring in new people, to make them sticky and to keep every user happy. Silently raising prices is the opposite, it’s an Epic Fail!

Okay, when it really turns out bad, and there is no other way, you can raise prices. This happens all of the time, everywhere.

But in any case you MUST inform your customers about that! And you SHOULD schedule the markup! Explain what you are doing and why. Feel sorry for it. Give your customers time to discuss and hopefully understand and finally accept.

Just never ever mess around with your customer’s money! That’s where everything goes down the drain!

And especially for you, dear people at ThriXXX, i want to give you a final lesson. It’s seriously hard-earned expert knowledge i want to share with you for free ;)

Start your browser and feed Google/StumbleUpon/Wikipedia with these terms (only to name a few): “How to administer a community forum”, “How to use Twitter”, “How to write a developer blog and why”, “How to become a cool webmaster”, “What can do social media for my business”… and so on and on.

To be honest, the last Dreams of Luisa Episodes were a mess to produce. It was way too much hard work with really annoying tools and a clumpy looking sims game.

Since i started playing with SexVilla i experimented with its models and locations to see if i could create something like a next generation Dreams of Luisa episode. Well, i think i can. It works.

Most important: The fun is back!

Actually i am full of inspiration, i have so much fun while i create “Luisa And The White Angel”, it’s like being in the good old times, back in what? 2005? 2006? I don’t know and it doesn’t matter because DoL will be something new anyway. Well, not exactly…

Luisa And The White Angel!

I’m roughly planning to create a trilogy of episodes before ThriXXX releases SexVilla 3 (which will require to recreate the models again).

I already scratched out the stories and decided on the titles:

1. Luisa and the White Angel
2. Luisa and the Wicked Game
3. Luisa and the Venus Guild.

There will be no flash or animation, only a clean, cool, naughty and simply sexy PDF comic! How cool is that?

The success of the sidekick series “Luisa’s Sex Tapes” shows that people – fans and newbies – are willing to accept the next generation Luisa, Sybil and Vanessa… SexVilla2 looks so much cooler hotter than the sims :)

The Story!

We are somewhere/somewhen after the Elfish Spell episodes. In fact, some characters you know from Elfish Spell will return while the Elfish Spell story itself will not have too much influence.

Luisa still lives together with her sister Sybil (Billy) in San Ricardo Valley. Millionaire Vanessa Richardson is bored and trying to get back into business. Luisa’s biggest rival Roxana Hart doesn’t make Luisa’s life easier. And old Mister Williams is also on board… That much about Episode 1. I won’t spoil…

The new Trilogy will contain all the good stuff you want to see in a Dreams of Luisa story: Romance, Action, Drama, Fun and much SEX.

Production status is still “coming soon”, no solid release date so far.

It is a long time since the last SV-Update, the ultimate Luxury Yacht. In the meantime the developers and moderators at ThriXXX remained in absolute silence.

But today, after one requesting post after another was opened in the gamerotica.com forum, asking always the same question about the upcoming features and “SexVilla 3“, Angela finally found her way to the forum and wrote an informative post.

Mainly she was saying “We are still alive and we are super busy in creating the next update”. She also stated that this long-wanted SexVilla Update will be released in mid June. That’s the plan.

But it seems that it is again worth the wait. It will be an heavy update! Here’s how Angela describes it:

a) We are working on a feature which will pep up customizing models again
b) We are also working on a solution which will simplify some of the problems with Mods
c) The next update will on top of it include:
- a new room
- new outfits matching the room
- new wigs matching the room
- and new rooms for modding!

What’s the June SexVilla Update?

Let’s see… The a) feature for better customizing is surely a good idea, though i don’t know what it could be. But since i know SexVilla, all those customizing options were well made and useful.

I don’t know what Angela is talking about in b) because i can’t imagine a problem with Mods that’s worth to program a solution. Maybe it’s about the “copyright” issue; some people worry about their custom creations being shared without proper credits. But i have no clue here…

And of course a new location, including outfits and hair-styles. We already know that Angela always says wigs but she means hair-styles. When we think of the Room Poll 2010 the new location should be a Doctor’s Office. I’m not too exited about this, i voted for another location, but anyway. It will be fun to send my models to the doc :)

The absolute best of the new features is – in my opinion – the last sentence: More location mods! I was hoping ThriXXX would reveal more location mods right after the Yacht Update but nothing happened. But Angela clearly says “rooms”! That’s plural. I’m looking forward to mod the locations and create more room-variation.

So it’s going to be a very cool update. I must wait till mid June but that’s fine. Only problem is the weak style of – sort of – public relations. In this point ThriXXX acts like a backyard company in 1990… But that’s another story.
