I noticed today that one of the oldest, most powerful and still popular modding tools for the Sims 2 passed away. The time of SimPose2 seems to be over.

I neither know if this is a Halloween treat nor if i am too late on this. During the last years i checked the official site simpose.com about one time a month to see if there is finally an upgrade, but today i got “page not found” 404 error. Also, the url is forwarded and says that the site is parked.

Now i’m wondering what’s going on. Is simpose.com really off or just moving and relaunching soon?

I don’t expect that the site will come back. The last update was from May 2006, over two years no sign of life. It was clear to see that the author had no interest in his project anymore. Now it’s gone without a word.

It’s a bit disappointing for those many people who still use SimPose to pimp up their sims. And those like me who spent much work in writing tutorials and telling everybody that SimPose is worth a try.

But anyway, it won’t change too much. I’m sure that the “forever unfinished” version of SimPose will be hosted on other websites soon.

Thinking of the upcoming “Elfish Spell” i can assure you that the loss of simpose.com will not change anything. The production continues like nothing had happened ;)

I think that’s the news of the day, it’s spreading all over the Internet. Though i’m not sure if it’s true…

The japanese manga and anime fanatic Taichi Takashita started a petition to legalize marriage between humans and comic-characters! A wonderful and fascinating idea.

I couldn’t find Taichi Takashita’s homepage and online petition yet. If anybody knows the url, please let me know because i want to support the passionated manga lover and sign his petition.

Taichi Takashita has no longer interest in the real 3-dimensional world, he says. In the first week he collected 1,226 signatures but still has a long way to go until he meets the target of 1 Million.

First it was a story of success but now, only one year later, it’s over.

BlogRush.com, the free link-exchange service for blogs, is shutting down. Bloggers like me who are (were) members of BlugRush must remove the BlogRush-Widget from their sidebars. It already stopped working.

It’s a sad story because BlogRush basically was a cool service for blogs all over the world, who wanted to generate more traffic with an easy and user-friendly piece of widget. But the concept didn’t work due to various reasons. You can read the official statement of John Reese on blogrush.com >>>

To be honest, personally i’m not too disappointed. Since a couple of months i felt BlogRush didn’t work like i had expected it when i signed up. I often noticed that the same old headlines appeared on the widget over and over again (no wonder that nobody clicked on it). When i followed a headline because it sounded interesting to me i often found crap. This even made me stop clicking on the widgets of other blogs. Sometimes it’s that easy.

This may be a subjective impression but it was underlined by my site statistics: No remarkable visitors came to mxm-studios.com through the BlogRush link-exchange. Only a few during the first weeks. That’s not enough to give away my precious sidebar space.

I had planed to remove the BlogRush-Widget with the next relaunch anyway. Something went wrong with that service, the good intentions of the creators turned into an uncontrolable amount of problems. It’s sad, really.

So let’s thank the people behind BlogRush.com for their work and effort. I don’t think it was a waste. It was worth a try and perhaps they will return someday with another idea - and will have more luck.

What is micro-blogging? Well, you don’t have to worry about writing large and detailed articles like on a real blog. You only post small messages of your current activities and thinkings, which only can contain 140 letters.

Though the next Tomb Raider game will be published in about 4 weeks Crystal Dynamics released yet another Trailer-Movie, a so-called vignette.

I have seen all of the many Tomb Raider Underworld trailers and also posted a handful of them here on the site and it’s clear that this game will be the best release this year - for me personally. Really, it wasn’t a very interesting year for a video gamer. Even Spore was and is an absolute disappointment.

So i won’t wait until Christmas but buy it on the first day. When the game looks only half way so great like in those movies, when it’s only half that smooth and exciting, i will be satisfied.

About 2 weeks ago i promised to conclude the Pre-Production of the long awaited erotic picture show/machinima comic “Dreams of Luisa 6 - Luisa & The Elfish Spell“.

What can i say? If you followed the latest news on dreamsofluisa.com and luisa6.info you already know that i did it. I suddenly realized that testing had slowly changed into creating! It also became clear to me how i could morph my vision of DoL6 into the best product i’ve ever created.

I’m happy that i could resolve all technical issues (as long as new appear) and also found answers to all my open questions. After looking at the first mastered pics i am totally sure that “ES” will raise the bar for machinima comics and related art not only for a few inches.

Anyway, the last 14 days have been very hard, i was extremely busy with the story because i wanted to meet the time line at any price. This state won’t change over the next weeks/months but from now on every action directly leads to a mastered picture. A very motivating and exciting process.

In theatres soon ;)
