The Sims 3 are demonstrating for more customer rights and against Blah!
Though i expect more official news about The Sims 3 to be released soon i’m slowly getting scared.
What if The Sims 3 will not be so damned nice like everybody is going to tell us actually? What if all the euphoric smiles turn into angry grimaces or - even worse - boredom and sheer disappointment?
Just like it happened with EA’s latest flop “Spore”.
The casual Sims-Gamer will be happy about The Sims 3 anyway and the game will be a Mega-Seller, that’s for sure. I will be happy about The Sims 3 as well and it’s no question that i will buy it on its release date (February 20). I’m even planning to take a day off…
But i also know for sure that i will not be satisfied by the gameplay only. I am a custom creator (one of thousands), it’s in my nature that i want to mod The Sims 3.
When i think about The Sims 3 as a creator of custom content i realize that it’s about time to become skeptic and ask some inconvenient questions.
That’s what i’m going to do in this post because there’s way too much useless blah around…
It’s time to share another small update about “Luisa & The Elfish Spell” with you.
Since last weekend you know that the Pre-Production is already finished 50% and you might want to know what’s going on in the second half.
Well, the second half of the “Luisa 6″ Pre-Production mainly means creating custom 3D-Objects, Scenery and Sets. I’m deep into this right now.

During the last weeks i noticed a constantly growing amount of visitors who reached mxm-studios.com because of this post i wrote about Carla Bruni a couple of months ago.
Many of these visitors found this site via Live Search and the search term “Carla Bruni”. Mainly because of the photograph i’ve posted which shows the First Lady of France with a softly manipulated body.
The original post wasn’t meant to make Carla Bruni look more sexy. It was meant to show that she is still sexy and size does not always matter ;)
Anyway, i followed the links in my stats to see where all the people came from. It was a Live Search gallery filled with millions of Carla Bruni pics! I don’t know how people can find my simple pic in there!
Oh yes, i’ve tried. I’ve been scrolling through the whole gallery to look for my manipulated Carla-Photo but couldn’t find it.
Instead i found numerous of wonderful photos that all feature Carla Bruni and i thought i could show some of them here.

Legs, waist, arms - totally messed mesh :)
In my last post i told you about the big waypoint i wanted to reach this weekend, crossing the 50% border of the “Luisa & The Elfish Spell” Pre-Production.
I did it!
I was creating numerous body-meshes and the related skins during the last 10 days. Sometimes it was just never-ending but i’m glad that i’ve been through the whole list.
Really most of the outfits are ready for shooting and only a few files still need fixing. The completely broken mesh you see on the pic was one of my first experiments. I don’t know for sure what i did with it, but i resolved that problem anyway.
There are still some skins under construction, but they’re not worth mentioning. Easy going. Now i have time to concentrate on some other things.
Over the next days i will rest from skinning/meshing. I don’t know if i’m going to build a in-game city scenery or create some custom objects next. There are still enough things to do…
I only can’t see Sims-Skins anymore, at least for a couple of days, that’s for sure :)
This weekend i will meet an important way-point, then i’m half way done with the Pre-Production of “Luisa & The Elfish Spell”.
Pre-Production runs pretty well and i’m sure that i can keep the speed, provided that i can have a little break from meshing to avoid burn-out symptoms (Don’t worry, i still feel fine).
During the last couple of days my Body Shop, SimPe and Milkshape programs have been running hot!
And i’m running hot as well, it feels like i have created some thousand meshes and skins already - only for “The Elfish Spell”. In fact there are “only” about 65 (or some more) mesh/skin combinations for the females.
So what does “mesh/skin” combinations” mean?
